"In Dispraise of the Moon" is the title of a poem that I have loved from the first time I read it, when I was in the sixth grade. I only wish I could read it again, but I can't remember the author's name and so I can't find the individual poem or a collection of the author's work; watching the lunar eclipse tonight brought the poem to mind. Unlike the people mentioned in the poem I have never become a beguiled by the moon, at least not in a bad way. In fact, while gazing at the moon and breathing the night air I feel completely at peace, which is very rare for me-- otherwise I nearly always feel very conflicted about numerous subjects. My other most favorite poem is "Thanatopsis," but that is an extremely popular and famous poem so it isn't at all difficult to locate.

Tomorrow Allen* and I are meeting our realtor and my dad at the new house; my dad, being an engineer, is going to inspect the A/C and Heating unit in the house, to make sure that it doesn't have any obvious defects.

I've already started packing: I began this evening with my books.
