Stomach Virus

I did discover why I was feeling so craptacular: it wasn't food poisoning, but a disgusting stomach virus that's been going around; I came to that conclusion after my dad called to tease me when he heard I was sick, because he apparently just had one last weekend when he was helping me with my math homework. I may be feeling terrible because of him, but at least I know the material for class. I did miss the test because of the constant vomiting, however, so I just hope I can make it up; my doctor's note lists, in really gross detail, the specific reason for my absence, so I think my teacher will take pity on me.

triple_phoenix picked up my notebook and current events assignments from Mrs. C today, then called to tell me my grade. She woke me up from where I had fallen asleep beside the toilet to tell me that Mrs. C gave me a C! When I started to freak out and yell, she admitted that I really got an A. I was annoyed, but couldn't help laughing. It was really pretty funny.

I'll be spending this weekend doing homework, which is what I seem to spend all my time doing every weekend, but I really don't mind. I'm enjoying college, a lot. Although, next semester I'm making sure that if I take five classes, at least two of those won't require any extensive homework or study. I already have a pretty good idea of what I want to take next semester, although some of the classes don't line up with my chosen major all that well; I am taking my required courses, of course, but I'm also going to continue taking classes I really enjoy, like American Sign Language, even though it has nothing to do with a major in Fine Arts. ASL just really fascinates me and I'm also developing a growing interest in deaf culture, which is a little surprising, but also makes me smile.
