Magic: The Scattering

Spoke to Allen* for a while today; He's been working every day from eight in the morning to ten or eleven at night to restore and maintain cell phone service with rescue workers, FBI, and the various other organizations based in Kenner right now, and after all that they have to drive back from Kenner to Baton Rouge, where it's safe for them to sleep. He had the opportunity to take a look at my parent's houses and confirmed that they're both in pretty good shape, but the_ugly_knight 's apartment is a wreck: The roof was torn off, much the wall collapsed, and his possessions are scattered throughout the neighborhood; Allen picked up some of his Magic cards from the road and is saving them for him. Dave'll get to see the damage for himself soon enough, as he and his family are soon heading down there to see what can be salvaged. After that he should be joining me here at my Aunt's and hopefully I'll get to see my honey then, too.

To all my friends: As soon as I have a place to stay, no matter how small or unfurnished it may be, you are all absolutely welcome to stay with me for as long as it takes for you to get back on your feet in the New Orleans area because I want to go back and I want the people I love most around me. This means you samothtiger and family, the_ugly_knight, triple_phoenix, diabolicalsound, mosno, and anyone who I may have neglected to list here: you know who you are.
