It seems like my usual PMS routine may have shifted from severe backache about two days before to an extended period of tender breasts, light cramping, slight lower backache, gassiness, and fatigue that seems to begin a week to two weeks before I actually begin bleeding. My back pain used to be pretty severe, which was frustrating, so in a way this is better, but it's just bizarre and because it's so different from what I've experienced since I was ten I tend to think there must be something wrong! It's probably all just related to the herbs and higher dose of metformin I've been taking and it doesn't really interfere with my life, so it's not a problem. Honestly, the most annoying part is the gas... or maybe the sore breasts - sleeping comfortably has been pretty challenging!
As part of my light exercise routine I'm going to start walking each evening, because that's honestly the simplest form of exercise there is; I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner! The heat can sometimes by an issue for me because of my auto-immune disorder, but since we're in such a safe neighborhood right now walking at night won't be a safety issue. I'd rather do a half hour to an hour of yoga, but there's just no space for that here.
If it's alright with Triple_Phoenix and Livetruth, I would like to use the pool at their apartment complex a couple times a week, too. Swimming, in my opinion, is probably the best form of exercise available. It's gentle, provides natural resistance, and it doesn't get me all hot and sweaty!
I'd still like to take yoga at Wild Lotus, but it's just a matter of arranging the funding and working my schedule around it. I don't think I'll start that until I get established with my swimming and walking habits, because I feel those will be the most easy to stick with due to my present living arrangements.
Of course, I could always lay out a blanket in the backyard for yoga, but then I have to consider either dealing with the heat or competing with the mosquitoes. Not to mention the dog turds.
Also, this whole "losing weight" thing would be a lot easier for me if food weren't so delicious. This is not my fault - this is food's fault! Also my genetics - I can't help that I was bred of peasant stock! I'll stop QQing now.
