Induction

JP's wife, Catherine, is being induced today. She's about thirty-five weeks pregnant.

update: Catherine is being induced due to pre-eclampsia and is expected to deliver sometime around noon tomorrow, give or take a few hours, of course.

I'll post more whenever I know more. JP has updated us a couple of times via text message and I don't want to be a bother by calling them right now.

update - July 17: Baby Jude was born yesterday, as expected, at just an ounce shy of six pounds. Understandably, Catherine is taking some time to recover before the parents begin receiving well wishers, but Carl did speak to JP; he reports that JP sounds happy and excited.

35 weeks is a little early to be induced.
Any specific reason?

Yeah, she has pre-eclampsia and her blood pressure is dangerously high. :( I didn't know all the details when I first posted, but her husband text'd Carl to let him know what was going on.
