Allen* took the day off to bring me to a doctor's appointment, which was incredibly sweet of him; we've been having a bit of upset because of my school schedule and his work/business schedule— there's just no time for sex! The doctor's office was a little creepy, smelled like mildew, and the doctor was too stern for my taste, so I doubt I'll be seeing him again. I only even made an appointment with him because I had to be "under a doctor's care" by April first and all of my other choices were booked.
I'm glad March is over, it's been a hard month for everyone, but especially a few of my friends. Like my friend who was shot in the chest last weekend, mosno who lost a close friend a few days ago, and
triple_phoenix whose uncle died at the beginning of the month. I feel very fortunate not to have endured such pain myself this month.
School has been driving me crazy because it's been eating up all of my time! Just this week I majorly flaked out, totally skipping all my drawing and sociology classes for the week. I don't feel that bad about it because I really needed the rest. I got an A on the paper I handed in to Mrs. C the other day, but I'm still having a bit of trouble with comma splices (I always have) so that kept it from being an A . She also seems to dislike my use of dashes, although I've been told by more than one knowledgeable source that I don't use them inappropriately.
The City Park Spring garden sale begins tomorrow and, although I only have a twenty dollar budget, I'm really looking forward to it. I'm sure the crowds will be a problem for me, but both Triple_Phoenix and my mom will be there with me. I've already briefed Triple_Phoenix that she is not to leave my side for the duration!
My catnip, white allyssum, dark opal basil, and sweet basil seeds have all sprouted and are doing well. The coolest looking sprouts, by far, are the dark opal basil because they're the dark purple of eggplants. The boyfriend and I are again undecided about what trees to plant in front of our house... I'm leaning toward fig trees or crape myrtles since they're pretty and wouldn't interfere with the power lines (in New Orleans trees that do interfere with power lines are hideously pruned back by the city when Hurricane Season begins).
