FEMA is still totally fucking us, even though my boyfriend registered us only two days after Hurricane Katrina stomped New Orleans back into a swamp. Friends and acquaintances who registered with them weeks after we did have already received their second payment from FEMA for being displaced and most of them still have homes to which to return! We, however, have yet to receive any aid from FEMA whatsoever and we have no home or possessions waiting for us in New Orleans.

Allen's* on his way here, to Houston, even as I type this, so we're planning to head down to one of the FEMA locations set up in the Spring, Texas area, we're hoping that we'll be able to get some assistance if we deal with the FEMA officials face-to-face, but I'm still apprehensive about it. If nothing else, at least I'll be able to spend some time with him again, I've really missed him.

Good luck with the face-to-face FEMA confrontation. I hope everything's going ok down there in Houston. Take care!

I sure hope it does! And I guess we'll find out pretty soon.

Things in Houston are pretty good, although Aunt Joye is really suffering with her allergies because of my dog. It's been a little better for her since we've been keeping him outside during the day.

How are you handling Calvin and Cora with your allergies?
